What degree of masonry do you have to be to wear a masonic ring?

In most cases, a Master Mason (3rd Degree), but each place has it's own rules and traditions, with some places allowing Entered Apprentice and Fellowcraft Masons (1st and 2nd Degrees) to wear Masonic emblems. This is usually in accordance with their specific Degree... A Mason knows that the Square and Compasses emblem differs slightly between each Degree.
