How often should i bathe my kitten?

So I got my kitten about a week ago and after 3 days my mom and I decided to give him a bath since she was getting very bad allergies from him. Now about a week later he stinks and it's probably because all he does is eat, drink, play, and poo and pee. But his coat smells horrible, i don't know why I clean his litterbox constantly. And yesterday my mom said that her eyes were a bit itchy. Is it okay to bathe him? I'll make sure to put warm water, and have plenty of warm thing for him so his temperature doesn't drop, I know your not supposed to bathe them but he really stinks!
