Does this sound like a good idea for a story?

it all happens in a small town called Church Hatton, where the main characters lacy adams, fernie cooper and miller bromwell are three best friends but then lacy gets struck by a car as she is crossing the road. she goes to the hospital in Stratsworth, and fernie and miller are left to find out who hit their friend. miller finds out but then is killed by falling masonry from the church, was he murdered? fernie is left to fend for herself, and eventually finds out it was the minister,Reverend Sunny Brick, who ran over lacy, killed miller and is embezzling funds from the church. lacy had found out so had to be taken care of.
