I just bought a house that is stucco exterior and.....?

it was bulilt 1979. looks dirty and daed. was told i could give it an "update" sent email to one company who said to "pressure wash it, patch any cracks or holes, then apply a stucco/masonry paint." is this correct and if so how much does this cost? estmate. our house is a 2700sqft house.
